What is Reiki?

Reiki is a healing system in which the practitioner gently touches the client with his or her hands.  Healing energy (called Ki in Japan or Ch'i in China) flows through the hands to the client.

Reiki has many different uses.  The most common reasons Reiki would be recommended to a client are the following:

• Energetic balancing and release.
• Healing (physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
• Connecting or reconnecting to Self.
• Creating peace, centeredness, and grounding.
• Rejuvenation and relaxation.

What Can I Expect?

It is common for the client to sense Reiki energy as heat, but other sensations such as tingling or throbbing may also be experienced.  However, sensation is not required for the energy to be received - it will flow to where it is needed.  The experience is relaxing and comforting at the very least, but it can also be much more - everyone experiences it differently!

Come to a Reiki Circle and experience it yourself.  Bring a friend.  A Reiki Circle is an event where people with or without Reiki experience have an opportunity to receive Reiki from a group of people as well as a chance to give Reiki to others.
